ABOUT ALDEN MONTESSORI
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
As Dedicated Montessorians and Old Friends, We Have Enjoyed this Journey We Call Alden Montessori School

“Our aim is not merely to make the child understand, and still less to force him to memorize, but so to touch his imagination as to enthuse him to his innermost core.” – Maria Montessori

The Alden Difference

At Alden Montessori School, we take pride in providing our students with academic excellence, individualized learning, and a parent partnership to bring the Montessori philosophy into the home. Our school is dedicated to offering a true Montessori environment where the child is an active learner, and inspires the joyful discovery of self. The Montessori Method is time-tested for more than one hundred years, enabling children to love learning and excel beyond their traditionally educated peers.

We, the directors of the school, are also the owners. With more than thirty years of combined Montessori credentials and experience, we are on-site and dedicated to offering the highest quality program. Our own children were raised through our Montessori school, giving us unique insight and affirmation that an authentic, forward-thinking Montessori curriculum enables each child to reach their full potential.  Alden students are confident, enthusiastic, self-directed learners.

Our guides (teachers) are dedicated Montessorians, holding Montessori credentials. Their belief in the Maria Montessori philosophy is exhibited through their dedication in providing their students with a safe and nurturing environment, empowering them with a lifelong love of learning combined with independent thinking skills.  The Montessori teacher is mentally centered and focused on the children. They are warm, nurturing individuals that encourage each student to reach their highest potential.  They recognize that children construct their learning through direct experience with the physical, intellectual and social environment of the classroom and the world and use their keen observation skills to facilitate a match between the unique individual learner and knowledge.

Here at Alden we value childhood as a time of innocence and discovery. Maria Montessori said that “one becomes a well-balanced adult only if one has fully been a child.”  Our school gives your child the opportunity to grow in an environment that nurtures the spirit of the child. Your child will experience a school community where children are respected for their own unique gifts and grow in an environment where the social curriculum and academic curriculum are equally important.
